When you hire a wedding DJ for your wedding day reception, you must tell them some basic things so that nothing gets messed up and you don’t get dissatisfied with his or her services.
A professional wedding DJ service in Reno will always look out for ways to improve their performance and when you help them out with some of the tips or dos and don’ts they can work on the same and that doesn’t only help them professionally but helps you too to a great extent. Here are a few things you must tell your wedding DJ for a better and perfect evening for your wedding reception – 1. The songs – which one to play and which one to not – You probably have already given your wedding DJ a list of songs he can play at your wedding. Now, you should also provide him or her list of songs that they cannot play. Sometimes, there are requests for some specific songs which may not appropriate for a wedding. If your wedding DJ has the liberty to add his own songs in the music, then you should provide him a list of songs he should not play. 2. The special songs – when to play and for how long – There will definitely be songs that are close to your heart and are quite important for both of you – tell your DJ that how long they should be playing those important songs and when. The sequence, the time limit and the moment plays a huge role in making up the mood. 3. How to pronounce your name – If you generally have a tough name and most people cannot pronounce it at the first go, then you should probably teach your DJ how to pronounce your name. No one will like to hear a wrong name in their wedding day – will you? 4. Whether or not to accept requests – If you don’t want your DJ to accept any song requests, then state the same clearly beforehand. Otherwise it can lead to a misunderstanding later on. 5. The MC part – While a little MC might be okay and it is important, too much of MC makes the event pretty boring. However, a professional DJ will always have the best idea for the same, but you can also suggest whether he should be adding the chatter part or not. Some DJs are actually pretty good at it and it comes naturally for them.

I like that you mentioned that special songs could be requested to DJ services. I remember the old days when my little sister would associate all sorts of songs to memorable days she had with her boyfriend. Now that they are about to get married, I'm sure she wouldn't pass up the chance to look back to all those songs.
